If you’re planning a stay at Paul et Pia, here are our favorite places to experience Alsatian cuisine.
At Paul et Pia, breakfast is a gourmet experience you won’t want to miss. Presented as a buffet, it offers a wide selection of sweet and savory items. You will find fresh bread, croissants, seasonal fruits, ham, eggs and cheese. Everything is provided for a complete breakfast.
During your stay, we recommend a visit to the covered market to taste all the Alsatian specialties. Such as the famous flammenkueches, baeckeoffe, sauerkraut, kougelhopf, manele or pretzels.
If you feel like a sweet break later in the day, Pia suggests two cafés that are a must. L’Artémise, an artisanal tea and pastry shop founded in 2019, and Mokka café, a cozy place run by a charming couple.
Back at the hotel, you can enjoy an aperitif at Paul and Pia before heading to one of the city’s many restaurants for dinner. If you want to try traditional Alsatian dishes, Paul recommends the Auberge. You can also go to the Maison des Têtes, a historic restaurant located in a 16th century house that offers gourmet French cuisine with Alsatian influences.
If you want to extend the evening, there are many places to discover in Colmar. The Koifhus Bar offers a magnificent view of the city from its outdoor terrace, while the Wine Bar offers an impressive selection of over 300 wines from Alsace and other French regions.
Finally, don’t hesitate to stroll around the city in the evening, you can make some very nice discoveries.
